After completing a consecutive series of six (90-minute) classes digging into everything from online safety to programming and presentation-building, students receive a refurbished computer of their very own.Students who commit to this series will meet for six Tuesday evenings, beginning each week at 6 p.m. (with each class ending at 7:30 p.m.). The first class meeting is Tuesday, April 8, and graduation day (the final class, when students will present what they’ve learned and take their computers home!) will be Tuesday, May 13. Students must consistently attend the classes in order to earn their computer.Classes take place at St. Louis BWorks, located in Soulard at 2414 Menard Street, St. Louis, MO 63104. A parent/guardian must attend the first 15 minutes of the first of the six classes. We also limit each family to two registrants per session, and students must be between the ages of 8-17.The operating system we install is Linux Mint OS (not Windows or Mac OS).
